As someone dealing with the effects of a pervasive developmental disorder (autism is one of them) in a very personal way, I just don’t understand how people could choose to not vaccinate their children based on the fear that their children could get autism. Honestly, if I had to choose between vaccinating Tanner and run the risks (if there even are any) of him becoming autistic or not getting him vaccinated, I would vaccinate him. Hands down. No question. I would much rather have him here with me, experiencing the challenges that he faces, than dead from some disease that I could have prevented him from getting in the first place.
